Privacy is the point of how Filenivo is built. This policy explains in plain language what information Filenivo (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles when you visit https://filenivo.com (the “Site”) and use our tools. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the Site, and feel free to tell us why at info@filenivo.com.

The short version

  • You don’t need an account. We have no login, no sign-up and no user profiles.
  • Our tools run in your browser. The files you convert or compress are not uploaded to our servers.
  • We don’t sell your personal information.
  • We use basic analytics and Google ads to understand the Site and keep it free.
  • If you email us, we use your message only to reply to you.

1. Who we are

Filenivo is an online tool website based in Pakistan and is the controller of the information described in this policy. You can reach us at info@filenivo.com or through https://filenivo.com/contact/. We reply within 24 hours.

2. Your files stay on your device

Filenivo’s tools work inside your web browser. When you pick a file to convert, compress or edit, it is processed on your own device. It is not sent to our servers, we never receive a copy, and nobody at Filenivo can see it.

This also applies to photos you use with the AI age estimator. Because your files never reach us, we can’t store, share, sell or recover them. Closing the page or clearing your browser ends the session.

3. No accounts, no profiles

You can use every tool without registering. We don’t ask for your name, email address, password or payment details to use the Site, and we don’t build profiles about you.

4. What we do collect

Technical information. Like most websites, we and the services we use may automatically receive basic technical details when you visit. This can include your IP address, approximate location based on your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, language, the page that referred you, the pages you view and the date and time of your visit.

Messages you send us. If you email us or use our contact page, we receive your name, your email address and whatever you write in your message.

Cookies. We use cookies and similar technologies for the purposes described in our Cookie Policy at https://filenivo.com/cookie-policy/.

5. Why we use information

We use the limited information we receive to:

  • Deliver the Site and keep it working properly.
  • Understand how people use the Site so we can improve our tools and guides.
  • Reply to your messages and help you when something goes wrong.
  • Keep the Site secure and prevent abuse or fraud.
  • Show ads, which pay for keeping the tools free.
  • Follow the law when we have to.

If you’re in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on our legitimate interests in running and securing the Site, on your consent for non-essential cookies and personalized ads, and on legal obligations where they apply.

6. Log files and hosting

Our hosting and delivery providers keep basic server logs, such as IP address, browser type, referring page and time of access. We use this information to deliver the Site, fix errors and protect it from abuse. We don’t use logs to identify individual visitors or to build profiles, and we don’t link them to other personal information.

7. Analytics

We may use tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console to see which pages are popular, how visitors find us and where we can improve. These tools may collect information like your IP address, device details and the pages you visit. 8. Advertising and Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to show ads on the Site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this Site or other websites.

Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at https://www.aboutads.info.

We don’t control the cookies advertisers place on your device. Each advertiser follows its own privacy policy.

9. Email and contact page

When you contact us, we use your name, email address and message only to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation. We don’t add you to mailing lists and we don’t use your details for marketing. We delete or anonymize the conversation when we no longer need it for that purpose, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

If you’d like us to delete a conversation sooner, email info@filenivo.com and we’ll take care of it.

10. Who we share information with

We don’t sell your personal information. We may share limited information with:

  • Service providers that help us run the Site, such as hosting, delivery, analytics and security providers.
  • Advertising partners, including Google, as described above.
  • Authorities or other parties when the law requires it, or when we need to protect our rights, our users or the public.

11. How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as we need it for the reasons in this policy, unless the law says we must keep it longer. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting and are then deleted or anonymized. Analytics data is kept according to the settings of the analytics tools we use. Since we don’t have accounts and never receive your files, there is no account data or file data for us to keep.

12. Your rights and choices

You can use the Site without giving us any personal information, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, to correct it, to delete it, to limit how we use it, to object to certain uses or to withdraw your consent. To make a request, email info@filenivo.com. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on it. If you’re in the EEA or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

California residents. You may have rights under California privacy laws, including the right to know what personal information we collect, to ask us to delete it and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We don’t sell personal information for money. Advertising cookies can count as “sharing” under some laws, and you can control them through the cookie banner or consent settings on the Site and through Google Ads Settings.

13. Children

The Site isn’t meant for children under 13 (or under 16 in some regions), and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has shared personal information with us, email info@filenivo.com and we’ll delete it.

14. Security

Our biggest security measure is design: because your files stay in your browser, they never travel to us. For the little information we do receive, we use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including secure connections (HTTPS). No website is 100% secure, so we can’t promise absolute security.

15. International transfers

Filenivo is based in Pakistan, and the services we use, such as Google, may process information in other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

The Site may link to other websites. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content or privacy practices, so we encourage you to read their policies.

17. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the new version here and change the “Last updated” date. If you keep using the Site after that, you accept the updated policy.
